Below is a sample i have done based on the drawing of the ladies hair comb. I am quite pleased with it because i like the colours and i likethe metallic print i have done.
i have been doing layouts in my sketchbook to help me work out my designs and also i have been putting colour swatches alongside them. i now have to put some of the imagery on my koda trace for a screen but its gonna take ages, but i am sure it will be worth it!
I really like this page that i have done as i have put pictures of the colours and images of the market research i am looking at on to it also. So when ever i feel lost on what to do i look back on this page in hope of gaining some inspiration.
For my final major project i am basing my project on ladies antiques as I thought that this would be a good theme as i like things that are old and girlie! Below is a concept page that can be found in my sketchbook based on this theme.
This is a sample i did with a butterfly print on it. I bought the butterfly necklace from the flee market because i thought it was oh so pretty! and i thought it would work well on a fashion garment.
I often look at many different designers to gain lots of inspiration. For my final project i am looking at Blumarine’s and Dolce and Gabbanna’s ready to wear collections. I really like Blumarine’s collection because its oh so girlie! I also like the pretty colours as they are really feminine. I really want one of Blumarine’s beautiful dresses, but i think i will have to dream on because they probably cost about as much as a new car!!
Today, ive being in the dye lab testing out different colours. Ive been trying to get a certain pink but i being gettting every other colour but the right one! my hands are black which is weird because ive been using pink dye so how that happened i have no idea!
